Virtual Office Benefits
“Virtual office” are two words that might have sounded strange only a couple of years ago, but this is now our new reality because, as we’ve recently noticed, plenty of companies don’t need to have a fixed address to be able to function as providers of goods or services.
In the past few years, businesses don’t have to operate from traditional brick and mortar locations, mostly due to remote working and telecommuting’s skyrocketing popularity.
This is a great benefit for startups, as they tend to have many benefits when it comes to the flexibility of virtual offices. As plenty of startups operate on small budgets and don’t have the big funds necessary for big corporate office spaces that include meeting rooms or a secretary, virtual office spaces give these businesses a chance to have a professional atmosphere and stay within the limited budget.
According to some reports, businesses tend to spend between 15% and 46% of their budgets on office space rent, and for most of those businesses, that space is a lot more than just a physical location. It’s also a place where the clients can find the business, where meetings are held, and where other business events can be held.
However, virtual offices can provide plenty of those same benefits because the address can still be of a corporate building, and the clients don’t have to send their checks to the business owner’s home. Virtual offices also cost a lot less than purchasing or building that space and, depending on the location, the rent.
Plenty of corporations talk about being environmentally conscious, but not all of them actually make all that effort. Offices tend to be a large source of waste – between office materials and all the paper that’s being used, as well as the carbon emissions from every employee coming into work via some form of transportation, the impact of a small company’s office space can be astonishing.
Fortunately, none of those issues appear with virtual offices because they can connect to the office remotely and start working immediately. There’s the added benefit of using electronic documents, which wastes less paper, and the only waste that ends up being the energy from the different devices.
A lot more people report having more motivation and happiness when they’re able to work from home at least a few days during the week. In fact, during these difficult times, several employees have reported feeling a lot safer and happier when being allowed to work from the comfort of their own homes, which leads to them working during their most productive hours because they’re also able to make their own schedules.
With businesses looking to redirect their budgets into more important endeavors, physical office spaces are decreasing in popularity, giving rise to virtual office spaces, as they allow businesses to eliminate at least 15% of their expenses. Making employees more satisfied with their work is another benefit that adds to employee performance and productivity, which means virtual office spaces will soon become the norm, instead of the exception, even when the crisis is long over.
